OPINION: If you’ve ever spent time around an entrepreneur you would have probably heard them use the term ‘fail fast’. But in the tech start-up world ‘failing fast’ is an important skill to comprehend. The key with failing fast is recognising as quickly as possible that you should have made a different decision. If applied correctly, ‘fail fast’ thinking in a business will create a culture where a larger decision will eventually be formed on the back of lots of micro experiments, all being carried out with the knowledge that some will work and grow - and others will fail and die. There are a couple of things you need to consider with your team if you do wish to embrace ‘fail fast’: the first is that failure should not be considered a bad thing.
