Talking to reporters after the verdict on Wednesday afternoon, Mozzammel claimed that the verdict pronounced by the district court had deprived Minni of justice and he will file an appeal with the higher court challenging the verdict. Meanwhile, Minni was taken into police custody following the verdict and was shown arrested in the murder case. The sixth accused, Md Musa, is currently on the run. Of the adults accused, only Minni has been on bail granted by the High Court. The trial against the 10 adult accused began at the same court.
