Feds approve request for N.W.T. flood assistance from Canadian Rangers


The federal government has approved the request for Canadian Rangers to help assist victims of flooding in the Northwest Territories. In response to a request for assistance, Rangers will provide support to community members impacted by flooding. MP Michael McLeod said Fort Simpson Mayor Sean Whelly put in the request for the support. The Canadian Rangers are a sub-component of the Canadian Army Reserve, according to the federal government's website. "We're trying we're trying to stay abreast of what's what's going on and make sure everybody knows that we're here to help," McLeod said.
