A 46-year-old female worker died after she fell from a seven-meter podium at a Tseung Kwan O construction site. At 10.17am Sunday, workers at the site on Chun Yat Street, Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate reported to police that a female colleague fell from height. The worker, who was already unconscious, was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Preliminary investigations showed she was cleaning when she stepped on a board which could not support her weight. Labour Department has sent officers to the scene and is investigating into the cause of the accident.
