more-inThe South Indian Film Producers collective and digital distribution companies – Qube Cinema and UFO Moviez – failed to come to an agreement about visual print fee during a round of talks that was held on Wednesday. The strike announced by the four major film industries, which is scheduled to begin on March 1, will go on as originally planned, a press release said. “The officials of Qube and UFO Moviez and the office-bearers of the producer councils met on February 7. But no agreement could be reached,” the press release from the council added. The press release also said that another round of talks would be held in Chennai on February 16 between representatives from various south Indian film industries, UFO Moviez and Qube Cinema and members of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce.
