The fire broke out around 7pm and was doused around 8:40pm on Friday. Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, Kabirul Alam, officer at Kaliakair Fire Service and Civil Defence Station, said: "Five firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames." The amount of loss could not be known immediately, he added.
