Mozilla, the organization behind the popular Firefox browser, is working on a method to counter this possible intrusion in privacy, using a feature called ‘Containers’. Containers essentially segregates your browsing activities into silos or contexts, such as Personal, Work, Banking, Shopping etc. There is also the regular default container that can be used for normal browsing, outside of these identity-defined containers. While this could work in a user’s favor--by offering more relevant online experiences to a given visitor--it could also go against. This feature is as yet experimental, but you can try it out in the Nightly Firefox 50 build.
