ITV has enjoyed a surge in first-half profits and is planning to resume dividend payments after the return of international football helped to fuel a rebound in advertising revenues. The broadcaster generated the biggest ad revenues last month of any June in its history after advertisers, which had cut spending after the onset of the Covid-19 crisis last year, flocked back.
