The incident occurred at Shalikha bazaar area in Bashgram union around 10pm on Thursday. The deceased is Dablu Sheikh, 48, son of Abdus Salam Sheikh and brother of Bashgram union Awami League General Secretary Bablu Sheikh. During theelection, Bablu Sheikh and his brother Dablu supported opposition candidate Biplob Biswas. Subsequently, supporters of ruling party candidate Nizamuddin Khan Nilu attacked Bablu and his associates in the Shalikha bazar area.
