File PhotoDHAKA, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS) - Former adviser to the caretaker government M. Hafizuddin Khan passed away this evening at his residence in Uttara in the capital, due to old age complications. His cousin Liaquat Ali confirmed. During his career, Hafizuddin Khan served as Secretary of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology. In 1996, Hafizuddin Khan was appointed as the sixth Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of Bangladesh. He also confirmed that Hafizuddin Khan will be laid to rest at his ancestral village home in Rahmatganj graveyard in Sirajganj district.
