"This is an attempt to meddle in the country's judicial system and they are setting a wrong example," said its chief Tan Keng Liang (pix). Tan said Pakatan's move was akin to belittling the powers of the King, who has jurisdiction on matters of royal pardon. "If they want to force the Agong (to give a royal pardon) when they are elected as the next government then I think it is not right. "This decision (to imprison Anwar) was made by the courts," Tan told a press conference at Menara PGRM on Saturday. Tan said DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng should have confidence in its members to re-elect him to the post.
