Letters to West 113th• 4 stars out of 5• Stage 7, Yardbird SuiteThe story of magician Thomas Whitford is told in unique and enjoyable fashion in Letters to West 113th. The mentalism show, juxtaposed with Newman’s storytelling, is effective in keeping the audience entertained throughout. Is Newman really a mind reader? But sitting in the audience, it’s almost impossible to explain how he is able to do some of the things he did on stage.
