Shortly after being expelled from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party, Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, also known as Jalang’o, turned to the Bible for solace. In his message, he shared, "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. The grounds for their expulsion were cited as 'openly associating with and supporting activities of a rival political party.' Earlier in July of the same year, Jalas had posted photos of himself in the company of President William Ruto and emphasized that their meetings were not mere displays. He underscored the importance of leaders collaborating closely with the president, highlighting that the success of the president equated to the success of the entire nation.
