You know the song: ‘There once was an ugly duckling, feathers all stubby and brown…’ Because, my goodness, has Princess Eugenie turned into a swan. Eugenie wore a blue Vivienne Westwood pouffy dress with a too-busy bodice; both, for a change, hid their knees. Which just about sums up the new Eugenie: fashion is lovely, but it doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.
