On February 20, 2026, the arrested accused Golap Mia forcibly raped the victim in the bedroom of Golap Mia's house against the victim’s will, tempting her to marry. On the victim’s screams, neighbors and witnesses rescued the victim from the house of accused Golap Mia. Then, accused Golap Mia cleverly fled the scene. After the incident, the victim's father filed a rape case against accused Golap Mia at Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station on February 24, 2026. The arrested accused has been handed over to Sadar police station in Lalmonirhat for further legal action, the release added.
