The attacking left back signed his first professional contract, for three years, at Fulham in June when it was indicated that he wanted to stay at Craven Cottage for another season. Tottenham had led the chase for his signature but Liverpool and Manchester United also wanted to sign him. The Premier League club, who have denied submitting a formal bid, indicated they would offer up to £25 million as a package but the initial fee in the deal is unknown.
