It’s Global: For its final season, HBO says Game of Thrones will be seen in 207 nations and territories and simulcast in 194 nations. The pay cable network expects over one billion viewers worldwide to watch the final season of Game of Thrones. By comparison, in the U.S., HBO has 49 million traditional TV subscribers with another seven million streaming video subscribers. So how difficult will it be for HBO to find another hit of along the lines of Game of Thrones?
