This year, Ganpati mandals in Kalyan-Dombivli will have it easy while securing permissions for erecting pandals and immersion. There are eight police stations across Kalyan-Dombivli and each of them will have counters to issue permissions to mandals. “These special counters will help mandals secure all the required permissions at one place. Moreover, the civic body has directed the mandals to leave the 3/4 road for traffic and pedestrians while erecting pandals. But the civic body could not implement the system owing because of improper planning.
