The leakage of styrene gas might have occurred from the storage tank of the plant, state industries minister M Goutham Reddy told reporters on Thursday. The minister said styrene in liquid form was stored in the tank and it would take gaseous form at a temperature of more than 20 degrees Celsius. He said the company was asked to adhere to all safety protocols before reopening the plant after lockdown relaxations.
