Kathryn Borel, Jian Ghomeshi's accuser and ex-co-worker, speaks outside Old City Hall following Jian Ghomeshi's apology in court on Wednesday, May 11. Worked out just dandy for Jian Ghomeshi, who left court on Wednesday with no strings attached, but for a one-year peace bond and $500 surety. Ghomeshi, in his brief and narrow mea culpa, characterized it as “sexually inappropriate.” No, the behaviour as described was sexual assault. As if Ghomeshi, acquitted at one trial, essentially reprieved in another, has any compelling reason to lay himself bare. She wants Ghomeshi to admit to “everything that he’s done.” Yet she afforded him a pass on the charge.
