Glaxo and Google to develop electronic medicine


The pharmaceutical giant is teaming up with Verily Life Sciences to form Galvani Bioelectronics. GlaxoSmithKline has announced plans to create a new company with the life sciences unit of Google-owner Alphabet in a bid to expand the use of electric signals to fight diseases. Collectively, the two companies plan to invest a total of £540 million over seven years.
