GST Amnesty Scheme: If you have not filed the GST Return yet, the government is going to impose a heavy penalty on you. An amnesty scheme has been announced in this regard, under which businessmen can file their taxes before August 1. Lakhs of businessmen in the country have not filed GST returns till date or have left after filling it once or twice. Under the amnesty scheme, these businessmen have been given an opportunity till the month of August. According to a GST official, "Businessmen who have registered themselves after the implementation of GST but have not filed returns and their business has been closed or their registration has been canceled will also have to file returns under any circumstances."
