Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza is staring at impeachment after MCAs approved a motion to kick her out of office. Members of the Meru County Assembly tabled an impeachment motion against the governor on Wednesday morning. The impeachment motion sailed through after MCAs backed it overwhelmingly. Mwangaza, however, did not appear before the MCAs to defend herself saying the impeachment motion is contempt of court. The MCAs, however, introduced the second impeachment motion which they tabled on Wednesday for debate.
