DHAKA, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS)- Law ministry today issued separate gazette notifications on the Barisal Development Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 2026 and Mymensingh Development Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 2026. The ordinances recently approved by the cabinet will come into effect immediately, the gazette notification said. As per the ordinances any employee of the Barisal Development Authority (BDA) and Mymensingh Development Authority (MDA) will automatically retire on completion of the age of 59 years. However, a freedom fighter employee shall automatically retire on completion of the age of 60 years. This intention of the employee shall be deemed to be final and will not be subject to amendment or withdrawal.
