Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Tuesday evening abducted a 82-year-old woman, Chief Mrs Alice Fadeni, at Okeriota area, Ode aye in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State. According to an eyewitness, the gunmen invaded the residence and started searching for Mrs Fadeni, the mother of a popular businessman in the community, and forced the woman into their vehicle. He said the kidnappers collected the handset of their victim and zoomed off from the area, saying I don’t know if they left with any other valuables before they left. Ikengboju in a statement signed by his media assistant, Israel Fagbemigun, described the abduction of Mrs Fadeni as a fallout of the state of insecurity in the state and country at large. The lawmaker called on President Mohammadu Buhari and Governor Rotimi Rotimi Akeredolu to take fresh decisive decisions in addressing the rising state of insecurity in the country and state.
