Hamilton man's death prompts plea to share health informationSTUFF The coroner's report into a Hamilton man's suicide was made public this week. A coroner has highlighted the importance of health workers sharing information after a Hamilton man took his life. In January 2016, six months before the man's death, he sought help from a doctor following the break-up of a long-term relationship. The Privacy Act is often viewed as preventing information sharing between health professionals caring for the same patient, the report read. "The counselling did not address, nor attempt to address, [the man's] mental health issues, depression or thoughts of suicide," the report read.
