more-inThe Haryana government has finalised an action plan for the development of an international aviation hub at Hisar in three phases, said a State Civil Aviation Department spokesperson. Finally, after a Detailed Project Report (DPR), bids would be invited for developing the Hub including an International Airport, the spokesperson added. He said that the State government was developing the integrated aviation hub on the existing Hisar airfield as a brownfield project. The international aviation hub is proposed to be developed around the existing civil airstrip at Hisar. The proposed aviation hub envisages a 9,000 feet runway with international standards airport, ample parking for airlines and General Aviation (GA) operators, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities, Aerospace University, global training centre for pilots, engineers and ground handling staff and residential and commercial development.
