Health Ministry warns against abandoning COVID-19 precautionary measures
CAIRO – 26 April 2021: Egypt’s Ministry of Health warned against negligence in following the precautionary measures of coronavirus especially during the current period. The Ministry indicated that the current month of April is witnessing increase in the number of infections in Egypt. Last week, the Ministry of Health said that the increase of coronavirus cases still manageable and not high. Egypt recorded on Sunday 953 new coronavirus cases, upping the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak in the country began to 222,523. In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 51 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 13,049.
