Traffic on Mai Mahiu Road was paralysed for more than 10 hours following several accidents on Tuesday. A truck blocked a section of the road following an accident in the afternoon. Njoroge said drivers who overlapped and refused to give others way worsened the situation. Kihagi, who was on his way to the celebrations, said the only solution is to expand the road. “We are deeply concerned by the weekly jams on this road which is the door to Rift Valley,” he noted.
