A suspected thug was shot dead while three others escaped in a botched robbery in Kayole, Nairobi on Tuesday. Four suspected thugs were killed last Wednesday after a kidnapping incident at Nyayo Stadium. Police said the four were shot dead after being trailed by officers from the Special Crimes Prevention Unit. They were pursued from the Central Business District where they had kidnapped a woman and demanded a ransom of Sh100,000. Police said they went to the area after they were informed of the suspects' attempt to break into an M-Pesa shop.
