Hermantown Elementary plans switch to distance learning after Thanksgiving

Hermantown Community School Superintendent Wayne Whitwam informed parents Friday that pre-kindergarten through fourth grade will switch to distance learning after Thanksgiving through the foreseeable future. Hermantown Elementary School is currently in hybrid and attending twice a week. Next week, each group will attend school one day and take home packets for distance learning. Hermantown is the last public school in the Duluth area to switch all students to distance learning. In Carlton County, all K-12 students at Cromwell-Wright Public School have in-person learning.
