A High Court bench of Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman issued the order on Monday following an appeal from Shahidul Alam. Earlier the chief justice had arranged a new bench to hear the case on Sept 4 as the previous High Court bench of Justice Md Ruhul Quddus and Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman expressed discomfort with the case. “The bail hearing is scheduled to be on Tuesday at the Sessions Judge Court. The High Court has ordered the bail issue to be settled on Tuesday,” Sara Hossain told the journalists. Shahidul’s lawyers went to the High Court on Aug 28, when the court declined to hear the bail petition.
