The year 2022 has experienced macabre murder cases, with some in court awaiting verdict and others still unresolved. Some of the cases are those of mistaken identity while others are caused by road accident, domestic violence and abductions. A senior Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif was shot dead on October 23 along the Nairobi-Magadi highway in what police termed as a case of mistaken identity. “We had an incident of shooting which turned out to be a case of mistaken identity involving a journalist. In another incident a security detail attached to Mama Ida Odinga was on October 13 shot dead in Kisumu’s Uzima area.
