Netflix halted production on both film and television projects, including Stranger Things and the final season of Grace and Frankie, while Apple halted production on The Morning Show. Other studios, like NBCUniversal, CBS and Warner Bros. have not halted production, but there are major delays, with Warner Bros. cancelling production on over 70 series and pilots, and NBCUniversal doing the same on 35. That’s how much was spent on original content in 2019, with Disney spending $27.8 billion and Netflix spending $15 billion. It is likely that these films and television shows will now be released months later than expected, as new production dates have not yet been set.
