In a grand celebration of its 23rd year in business, Hombaze African Cuisine opened its new branch in Brooklyn, Pretoria, on Saturday, April 4, 2026. She praised the founders of Hombaze African Cuisine, Dr Kenn Ayere, and his wife, Mrs Nogie Ayere, for promoting Nigerian and African cuisine in South Africa. Thami Mseleku, former South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, lauded Hombaze African Cuisine for showcasing African delicacies since 2003. Dr Ayere, founder of Hombaze African Cuisine, expressed gratitude to South Africans and other Africans for supporting the brand over the years. “Hombaze has remained committed to promoting Nigerian and African cuisine, hosting dignitaries from around the world,” he said.
