Home Secretary James Cleverly visits Windsor to discuss violence against women

Home Secretary James Cleverly visited Windsor to discuss Thames Valley Police (TVP) initiatives to combat violence against women and girls on December 15. Mr Cleverly, along with minister for victims and safeguarding Laura Farris, met with police representatives including Thames Valley police and crime commissioner and the TVP chief constable, during the visit. Project Vigilant involves uniformed and plain clothes officers patrolling in areas outside nightclubs, bars and pubs to identify individuals displaying signs of predatory behaviour. The Ask for Angela initiative is a UK-wide scheme whereby people who feel unsafe at bars or clubs and other licensed venues can seek help discreetly. More information on Ask for Angela can be found here.
