A multi-million deal has been made on an Adelaide property that was the former home of famous Australian artist, John Dowie. The Dulwich villa was put under offer earlier this year for $2.53 million and was settled in September, reports Realestate.com.au. It had been owned by the Dowie family since 1917 and it was where the late renowned painter and sculptor spent a lot of his time. Ms Dowie and the rest of the Dowie family were reportedly pleased the house was being preserved by the new buyer. Art house: The property has been the home of Dr Dowie's niece Penny Dowie for the past 13 years.
