The Blue Jays began to flesh out their coaching staff on Wednesday by hiring Dave Hudgens as bench coach under new manager Charlie Montoyo. Hudgens, 61, spend the past four seasons as the Houston Astros’ hitting coach, winning a World Series ring in 2017. He has also been hitting coach of the New York Mets and the Oakland Athletics.
