Hurley Regatta takes place on the Thames, 50 years on from first event

The Hurley Regatta took place last Saturday (August 19), 50 years after the very first event was held on the River Thames in 1973. Once again, a range of races were staged on the Thames close to Hurley, with teams, seniors, juniors and ‘little and large’ races taking place throughout the day. The Bath Race was won by Tara & Co and All the Gear, No Idea won the Giant Paddleboard (Colin Ames Cup). In the Scratch Races the morning Paddleboard Rescue event was won by Adam and Ollie, with Tara and Fiona winning the afternoon Paddleboard Rescue race. The Paddleboard Gladiators adult event was won by Tom with Sam claiming the junior win.
