ICC rule change allows 15-member squad for WC

BCB’s cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan informed that following the new rules, the BCB will announce a 15-member Bangladesh team for the ICC world event before or on April 22. The Tigers’ squad for the World Cup, along with five to six cricketers as stand-by options, will start their camp at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur from April 23. But as per the latest rules, we have to name a 15-member team by April 30 with the option of change till May 22. After May 22 a change can be made only if there is any injury in the squad,” Akram explained to the media on Monday. The 12th edition of the World Cup will be hosted by England and Wales from May 30 to July 14.
