NILAI: Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar has denied a news report by The Associated Press that Malaysia's most wanted terrorist Dr Mahmud Ahmad has been killed in southern Philippines. "Dr Mahmud is still alive and fighting in Marawi (on Mindanao island)," said the IGP, who had just returned from a conference in the Philippines. As for speculations that many of the terrorists presently in Marawi are Malaysians, he corrected the figure is actually smaller and probably less than 20. Commenting on the collaboration between the police and the newly established court for sexually abused children, Khalid said the police already has its own task force to handle and expedite such cases. "(Hence) we will re-look into our SOP (standard operating procedures) to help hasten case resolution for reported sexually abused children."
