Sumit Pokharna, VP – Fundamental Research at Kotak Securities, pointed out that sustained higher crude prices present macroeconomic and sector-specific challenges. The transmission channel is clear: higher crude increases inflation risk; higher inflation pushes bond yields up; rising yields compress equity multiples.
