KUALA LUMPUR: The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has no qualms about AirAsia Group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes being nominated for FAM’s next president. “If Fernandes is interested in the post, then we should be happy. It shows that there are still those who care about FAM and want to come on board and improve the body," said Hamidin. This came about following his candid statement in an interview in Bangkok last Friday, where Fernandes was asked whether he would consider taking up the FAM presidency. If Fernandes is serious, he can come forward," he said.
