As the National Elections Commission (NEC) gearing up to announce the provisional results of the October 10, 2017, report coming from Nimba County speaks of trouble brewing in District #4 of the County when ballot papers and poll workers were held hostage on grounds, a situation said to creating fears in poll workers. According to a live report from the County on the National Broadcaster, the Liberian Broadcasting System, as a result of this, the report said the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) of the Liberia National Police had to move in. The bid to bring sanity in the affected district, the ERU was able to retrieve some of the voting materials, while the poll workers at still been held hostage.
