Inflation falls slightly in Feburary to 2.4%


Kenneth FoxAnnual consumer price inflation in Ireland is estimated to have risen by 2.4 per cent in the 12 months to February 2026. Food prices are estimated to have risen by 0.1 per cent in the last month and increased by 3.4 per cent in the last 12 months. Excluding energy and unprocessed food, the HICP is estimated to have grown by 2.4 per cent since February 2025. Eurostat will publish flash estimates of inflation from the EU HICP for the Eurozone for February 2026 on March 3rd, 2026. "Service prices have risen by 0.8 per cent in the month and are up by 3.3 per cent in the 12 months to February 2026.
