The Interior Ministry said on Monday that two bodies had been recovered from a mass grave discovered in Abu Salim area of the capital, Tripoli. The ministry said the site was located after authorities received information about the possible presence of human remains. The ministry stressed that search operations were still ongoing as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the case and identify the bodies. On Sunday, the Security Directorates Support Apparatus said two of the bodies belonged to people it said were killed by members formerly affiliated with the Stability Support Apparatus in Abu Salim. In recent months, the Interior Ministry has announced the discovery of dozens of bodies it says belonged to people killed by members of the Stability Support Apparatus, which was previously led by Abdulghani al-Kikli.
