One Italian village is offering just that. The residents of San Giovanni are desperate to attract visitors this summer as travel restrictions loosen. It's a pretty attractive prospect - visitors can stay for seven nights for free in some of the region's empty houses. The scheme has been created by local activist Enzo Luongo and is called called Regalati il Molise (Give yourself Molise). Last year the region hit the headlines after offering newcomers 700 eurors per month for three years to live in a local village.
