JAC demands protection of Hindus in Bangladesh


Speakers at the protest expressed concern over the lack of safety and protection for the Hindus in Bangladesh. The protesters demanded that the Bangladesh government take immediate and decisive action to ensure the safety and security of the Hindus and other minorities. As part of the protest, members of the Hindu JAC burnt an effigy symbolising religious extremism and raised slogans, condemning fanaticism and demanding an end to violence against the Hindus in Bangladesh. The JAC reiterated its appeal to the international community and governments to take note of the growing attacks on the Hindus and ensure the protection of minority rights and human dignity. Hindu JAC leaders Nagalingam, Shivaji, Avutupalli, Shivaprasad, Thota Suresh, Potharaju, JSRK Prasad, along with several prominent Hindu organisation leaders and activists took part in the protest.
