Photo : BSSCOX’S BAZAR, Feb 2, 2026 (BSS) – Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman today said Cox’s Bazar would be developed into an international-standard tourist destination through the establishment of justice, good governance, and the elimination of corruption. Abdullah Al Farook, Ameer of Cox’s Bazar Jamaat-e-Islami, has been nominated as the candidate for the Cox’s Bazar-1 constituency by the Jamaat-led alliance. Speaking at the rally, he said, “We promise that if elected, the syndicate system will be dismantled and justice-based governance ensured. The Chattogram–Cox’s Bazar highway will be upgraded to six lanes to improve the lives of people here.”“In South Chattogram, where there is currently no university, a university will be established.
