Jazz.FM filed a statement of defence Friday in response to a $420,000 lawsuit Bailey filed at the end of last month. Garvia Bailey claims her involvement in the group known as the Collective and its complaints about bullying and harassment were behind what she calls her constructive dismissal. In her lawsuit, Bailey claims she didn’t get the training she expected in the role, and was berated by Porter numerous times at work about her performance. Porter resigned as CEO after the report was submitted. Jazz.FM says the contract she signed when she began working as morning host gave the station the right to assign her to another program.
